COME TO ME
The last two weeks, God called me to fast four days one week and three days the following week just water all day and one meal in the evening. This passed Sunday in our worship (which was amazing), I saw this: It was raining really hard, so hard that if you raised your head to look up, water would pour into your nose and you would have to catch your breath.. The sound was deafening. The rain stopped. The sky cleared and there was a rainbow in the sky. I heard a voice calling me a ways off. I looked and there was Jesus waving for me to come to Him. He was dressed in all white. He was standing beside pool of water. When I reached Him, He said, "Tell me all of your concerns, what's troubling you in your life, your doubts, your fears, your deepest secrets. Rest with me here. I will give you my healing waters to quench your thirst and heal every part of you. I will answer you but you must come to Me."
Every time I have an encounter with God, everything changes! It is as if I have been born again again! Everthing that was in my way is moved out of my way or the things that were in myway are just not important enough to dwell on anymore! My whole life is made new! What an amazing God we serve! When I receive a vision, it is for the body of Christ because, God is speaking. When God speaks, His love is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, Romans 5:5, and we are moved with compassion, Matthew 9:36.
In Psalm 23, David says, the Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want or lack. He makes me to lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul. You know when your computer loses the reception and you have to refresh the page? The pressures of life will cause us to lose our identifying authority in Christ Jesus if we do not regularly come to the water and drink from the Living water. Jesus answered the woman at the well, If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water, John 4:10.
Our lives do not flow except that we are healed first. Otherwise, we live in spurts and sputters and glimpses of what life should be. God's love must abide and remain in us and that only occurs when the Healer lives in you and abides in and we allow the Holy Spirit to comfort our hearts. The psalmist who is David sings, Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, perserving and steadfast spirit within me. Cast me not away from Your presence and take not Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit. Then will I teach transgressors Your way, and sinners shall be converted and return to You, Psalm 51:10-13.
So, our calling card is a repentent and humble heart that will bring us to the right relationship with God, then the world will really see Jesus and it will not be a hard thing to preach the gospel, win souls and witness Jesus. It would naturally flow from us because it is His life in us.
Father God, I pray that your people will come to you. I pray that they will drink of your living water and be healed, restored and strengthened in joy and new life in you. I pray Father, that they will come to you regularly even daily to find you beside the still waters and that You will hear them and restore their souls in Jesus Name.
